A few years ago a group of determined Edwardians fascinated by the full-contact sport of rugby decided to spice up their P.E. sessions at school and managed to convince the school sports section to start teaching and training the few initially interested in the game.

This was all possible thanks to the fact that one of the teachers was already well involved in the local rugby scene.

Soon, the few, became a complete team as the buzz quickly spread amongst peers. Over time discipline, tactics and gameplay were learnt and eventually mastered.

In the late 2000 the team joined the National League as the most upcoming rugby team which was by now aptly called Stompers RFC.
